  • Pulse Polio Immunization Program (20th Sep 2019)
    Pulse Polio is an immunization campaign established by the government of India to eliminate poliomyelitis (polio) in India by vaccinating all children under the age of five years against the polio virus. In this 6 days long program batch of 63 students from BMS and BA (MMC) participated under the aegis of National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, from 15th September 2019 onwards.


  • BOTTLES FOR CHANGE (23rd Aug 2019)
    A half day sensitization workshop on plastic waste management was organized by Bisleri International PVT LTD on 23rd August 2019 at their Mumbai (Andheri) campus for NSS Units of Western Suburb. NSS Program officer, Dr. Yogesh Ingle along with NSS 5 Volunteers from BA (MMC) participated in the workshop.


  • DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION (5th Oct 2019)
    NSS Cell, Department of Higher and Technical Education Mantralaya, Maharashtra supported a talk on “Drug Abuse Prevention” for creating awareness on the disastrous effects of intoxication from drugs on one's health and the economy. Participants got aware of the current scenario of our country about the drugs used and various health issues with its addiction and prevention techniques. SRBS student participated in the talk.


  • Fresher’s Day (30th Sep 2019)
    Life is full of new beginnings. In management education you not only learn hard work, but also learn to enjoy every precious moment of yours in college life. With this in mind the fresher’s party was organized for first year students of SRBS (MMS, BMS and BAMMC) in the coordination of Cultural Committee and Second Year students of MMS on 30th September 2019. It was an incredible full day fun and celebration hosted for the fresher’s.


  • Jal Diwas Celebration (22th Jul 2019)
    Students of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research celebrated “Jal Diwas” on 22nd July under the “Jal Shakti Abhiyan” initiative of Government of India and instructions of AICTE. The motive of the activity was to create awareness amongst students about frequent climatic changes in India and their relation to the water crisis. The Institute encouraged students who are an integral part of society to understand the importance of water conservation.


  • SRD NRD District Level Selections (25th Aug 2019)
    This event was organized to encourage youngsters to participate enthusiastically and for getting an opportunity to participate in the Republic Day Parade at India Gate. In the camp, around 120 NSS volunteers participated from the Western region.


  • Pre Placement Talk Kotak Mahindra (8th Aug 2019)
    The pre placement talk was organized under the initiatives of the Placement committee headed by Prof Anant Digaskar. The activity specifically organized to make student aware about the General Insurance and Life Insurance. This was delivered by Ms. Riddhi from Kotak Mahindra Bank who has a 13 year corporate experience. She stressed on the importance and various career aspects in this sector.


  • HIV AIDS Workshop (26th Jul 2019)
    A sensitization workshop for NSS students (volunteers) and NSS Program Officers was organized in MDACS office, Hall no. 1, Wadala. All Western Suburb NSS Program Officers along with NSS Volunteers have participated on scheduled dates. From SRBS Dr. Yogesh Ingle along with 2 NSS Volunteers from BA (MMC), Vishwakarma Vijaylashmi and Nadar Vishwanathan attended the workshop.


  • Leadership Training Program (14th Aug 2019)
    In order to provide NSS Volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge for solving different social issues concerning the people of the adopted and local area of the Institute, and their grievances to the administration, a leadership camp was organized by NSSS. SRBS nominated Mr. Saurabh Pimpalkar, BMS student to attend the training program and benefited by gaining awareness of roles and responsibilities of an NSS leader and NSS unit.


  • Business Etiquette Guest Lecture (16th Aug 2019)
    Mr. Vincent D’Silva conducted a session on the Need and Importance of Business Etiquettes. In his informative speech he stressed on professional presence. He guided students on the art of polite communication.


  • Bharat Swachatta Abhiyan (18th Aug 2019)
    The NSS cell organized a cleanliness drive to enhance awareness among students on the importance of cleanliness and to keep the surrounding clean and beautiful. In this drive, around 100 NSS volunteers participated from the Western region. From our institute 5 NSS volunteers, from BMS represented the NSS cell of SRBS.


  • District Level – Yoga Camp (24th Aug 2019)
    A three day District-level Yoga Camp taught the participants various techniques of yoga. The Yoga guru stressed on devoting some time to yoga every day as it is the only remedy to cure many ailments. NSS volunteers, from BMS participated and learnt many things from the yoga guru.


  • FIT India (29th Aug 2019)
    As a moral responsibility, SRBS under the initiative of National Saving Scheme (NSS) unit of the college organized the FIT India Program. The objective was to encourage students to include physical activity and sports in their everyday lives.


  • Tree Plantation (31st Aug 2019)
    As a contribution to noble cause and responsibility towards Mother Nature, SRBS organized "Tree Plantation Program" under the initiative of the NSS team of college, at Shelampada Village, Taluka Mokhada and District-Palghar.


  • University Level – Poster Competition (2nd Sep 2019)
    A competition was organized to spread awareness on Green campus and the need for reducing Carbon Footprints at the campus. Here the NSS volunteers of the University of Mumbai in teams of two, made some beautiful posters on the theme.


  • Teacher's Day (5th Sep 2019)
    University of Mumbai had organized a program on the occasion of birth anniversary of the second president of India, Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan on 5th September 2019. Prof. Vikas Pande represented the SRBS. The celebration was organized by Sir Phrirozeshah Mehta Bhavan, Department of Civics and Politics, University of Mumbai.


  • NAAC Accreditation (4th Mar 2019)
    SRBS was awarded with B++ accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation council on 4th Mar 2019. The process started way back in May 2018.


  • No Tobacco Day (11th July 2019)
    Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized No Tobacco Oath Ceremony on 11th July, 2019 under the initiative of National Saving Scheme (NSS) unit of the college. The objective was to make students aware and educate them about the harmful effects of tobacco on health and diseases like tooth decay, cancer, cardiovascular disease, staining of teeth, etc. One short film was shown based on the central theme of tobacco ill effects and tobacco cessation, and after that all the Teaching & Non- Teaching staff, and Students took oath which was administered by Director Dr. Vijay Wagh.


  • Selfie with Guru (16th July 2019)
    Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research participated in the peoples campaign #SelfiewithGuru to mark the occasion of Guru Purnima Day on 16th July 2019 as requested by AICTE.


  • Inauguration of BMS and BMM Courses (20th Jul 2019)
    Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research welcomed its inaugural batch of BMS and BMM students at a ceremony held on 20 July, 2019.


  • Guest Lecture on Time Management (20th Jul 2019)
    A guest lecture on “Time Management” was held on 20th August 2019 by Mr. Viraj Almeida. Students have learned a lot of things related to need and importance of time management.


  • Induction Programme (22nd Jul 2019)
    Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized an Induction Program for the inaugural batch (2019-22) of BMS and BAMMC students on 22 July, 2019.


  • Inspirational Talk on Goal Setting (22nd Jul 2019)
    The session focused on setting vision, goal for student’s career and life. The speaker enlightened the students about the importance of positive attitude and also how to interact with colleagues and seniors on a personal level.


  • Kargil Vijay Diwas (24 Jul 2019)
    All students of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research (SRBS) celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' with great enthusiasm and vigor. On this occasion all students of SRBS watch the live screening of “URI - The Surgical Strike” movie at PVR ICON cinema theatre, Andheri East.


  • Cracking Job Interviews Successfully (19th Aug 2019)
    A guest lecture on the topic “Cracking Job Interviews Successfully” was held on 19th August 2019. The guest speaker Dr. Farida Virani gave the students an insight on how interviews are conducted in the corporate world. Processes of interviews were explained which helped the students to understand how to crack interviews and answer the questions put forth.


  • Yuva Mahiti Doot (20th Aug 2019)
    The Directorate General of Information and Public Relations, with the support of UNICEF and active participation of Higher and Technical Education Department has started 'Yuva Mahiti Doot' initiative.


  • Disaster Management (21st Aug 2019)
    A Guest Lecture on “Disaster Management” was held on 21st August 2019 under the aegis of the NSS Committee of SRBS. Mr. Chandrakant Tambe a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officer, Ward-Kherwadi, Bandra was invited as the guest. He highlighted the problems on water wastage, problems of waste disposal and cleaning of storm water drains.


  • Basics of Stock Market and Technical Analysis (Aug 2019)
    Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research (SRBS) offers a Certification Program in Basics of Stock Market and Technical Analysis. This program is open to all.


  • Independence Day celebrations (15th Aug 2019)
    SRBS has celebrated 73rd Independence Day this year on August 15, 2019. Our college celebrated this auspicious day with great enthusiasm and pride. Student and staff of all colleges participated in the event.


  • PhD Research Center Inaugurated
    (5th April 2019)

    SRBS has inaugurated as a PhD Research Center on 5th April 2019. Dr. Vijay Page (Director General, Mumbai Educational Trust) did the honors and declared center as open. The center will give formal shape to research activities by conducting a PhD program of the University of Mumbai.

  • Welfare of Society by Social Evangelist
    (12th January 2019)

    SRBS works towards making a contribution to the society in order to influence the lives of others around. This is done through several initiatives with the help of government and non-government organizations. Such initiatives sensitize the students to the social problems and creates a resolve in them to make efforts to work towards sustainable solutions. SRBS has invited Mr. Harakchand Savla, a renowned social evangelist to interact with students on January 12, 2019 at 10:00 am. He runs 60 different social services including cancer patient's well-being, medicines at cheaper rates, ashram facility, an old age home and many more. He will be accompanied by team members of trust Jeevan Jyot Cancer Relief and Care run by him.


  • Constitution Day
    (26th November, 2018)

    "The Constitution Day" was observed at the Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research, on 26th November, 2018. The event was organized to spread awareness about the Indian Constitution and to instill a sense of patriotism among the students. Constitution Day is also known as "Samvidhan Divas" is celebrated in India on 26th November since 2015. On this day in 1949, Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which later came into effect on 26th January, 1950.


  • Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary
    (15th October 2018)

    Institute celebrated 87th birth anniversary of the missile man of India, Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abul Kalam on 15th October 2018 as Kalam Day. The day was celebrated as “Reading Day” to ignite their passion for reading books. The students assembled in the computer lab. Two videos were played: one on the importance of reading and the other on Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s life.


  • Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Birth Anniversary
    (13th November 2018)

    India celebrated National Education Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad on 13th November 2018, who believed that education was for one and all. The faculty and staff of the institute paid tribute to the great visionary by organizing Essay Writing Competition and Poster Design Competition for the students.


  • "Pehchaan" Induction Program
    (August 16, 2018)

    A day long Induction Program for the new batch (2018-20) of 120 MMS students was held on August 16, 2018. The students were familiarized with the institutional vision, mission & objectives. In addition to this, day-today operational procedures, concept of mentor-mentee and Buddy system was elaborated upon.


  • Corporate Visits Schedule
    (7th to 10th January 2018)

    Corporate visits are regular activities at SRBS which undertakes every year.

    These visits to financial institutions provide an opportunity for the students to learn about the role of financial regulators of the Indian capital markets. For this year, these visits are scheduled for SEBI and NSE between 7th to 10th January 2018.


  • Anti Plastic Campaign
    (8th September 2018)

    The students of SRBS under the Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Committee and NSS unit organized Anti Plastic Campaign to promote the government’s initiative on plastic ban on 8th September 2018 in Bandra-East market area. Around 102 MMS First year students participated in the campaign. The students distributed 500 paper bags to retailers and exhorted them to henceforth use paper bags instead of polyethylene bags. The students were trained to make paper bags by a NSS unit of the institute.


  • Pulse Polio Immunization Program
    (5th August 2018 - 10th August 2018)

    The Pulse Polio Immunization program was launched by the Government of India in 1995. Almost 88 second year students of MMS participated in the week long Pulse Polio Immunization drive under the aegis of Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) Committee and NSS unit, from 5th August 2018 to 10th August 2018 at Bandra Terminus railway station. Oral polio doses were administered to almost 256 children under the age of five years.


  • Sep – 2018 : Teacher’s Day Celebration
    (5th September 2018)

    The students of SRBS organized Teachers Day celebrations to express respect and gratitude towards the faculty members. The program started with a prayer as per the Indian tradition. Many exciting competitions were organized by the students for faculty members. Dr Vijay Wagh, Director shared his thoughts on the occasion and exhorted the students to excel in their chosen field of endeavor.


  • July – 2018 : Guru Purnima Celebrations
    (27th July 2018)

    Guru Purnima is an Indian festival that is celebrated as per the Hindu Moon Sign calendar to express reverence towards Gurus, teachers and mentors. Speeches and shlokas were read out from the Gita and the Puranas which highlighted the importance of the Guru in our lives. The Director Dr. Vijay Wagh told the audience to reflect on their life and honour the wisdom that life has offered as it is a day to be grateful.


  • Sep – 2018 : Guest Lecture on Entrepreneurship-The way ahead
    (29th SEPTEMBER 2018)

    A Guest lecture under the aegis of Entrepreneurship Development Committee was held on 29th September 2018. The resource person, Dr. Prasad Teegalapally, Head of Student Enterprises @ NITIE interacted with the students. He discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship with the students.


  • Dr. Mukesh Goyal, Professor at SRBS attended 2-day workshop organized by CII and WeSchool on the subject “Academic Leadership-Changing Paradigms”. Dr. Jagdish Seth, a renowned Management Guru and Professor at Emory University lead the workshop.

    The theme of the workshop includes three following broad areas.
    1. Working through Constraints.
    2. Working with Multiple Stakeholders.
    3. Innovating for the Future.

    The workshop had a fine combination of thought sharing by eminent speakers from academia as well as Industry besides group discussions among the participants and presentations.

    About 48 Principals and Directors from various colleges including Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Senior colleges and schools participated in the conference.


  • Dr. Deborah L. Ford, Chancellor, University of Wisconsin- Parkside,USA, visited our B-school Campus on Thursday, January 4' 2018. She met the Management, Faculty Members & MMS students of the B-School.


  • Chancellor Ford spoke to MMS Semester II & Semester IV students. Her interactive session stressed upon "Reviewing Leadership Principles in Changing Times". The presentation focused on lessons in Leadership from across the world. The session was well attended by Students and Faculty Members.


  • Dr. Michele Gee, Associate Dean, University of Wisconsin - Parkside,USA, spoke on the topic " The Impact of Social Media on Cross Cultural Management & Workplace Diversity". She shared her experiences across more than 40 countries of the world. The changing dynamics in modern management was discussed with Management Students


  • Dr. Parag Dhumal, Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin- Parkside, USA, was present in the discussion with the Management and student interaction which followed.


  • Dr. Abey Kuruvilla, Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin - Parkside, also attended the meeting with the Management of SRBS, and interacted with MMS Students of the B-School.

  • Ms. Nirmala Mehendale, Former President, Bombay Management Association, and Director-Mind Movers Management Consultants, spoke to our MMS Students on the topic “Emotional Intelligence”. She shared her experiences, both as a practicing Manager & as a Human Resource Consultant. She impressed upon the B-School students to be aware about the challenges faced in every walk of life and also the role of Emotional Intelligence in being better prepared to deal with them.


  • Mr. Eric Mistry, Practicing Psychotherapist & Behavioral Trainer, gave his insights to the topic “Emotional Intelligence”. He shared his experiences and case studies to dwell with the topic. It was followed by a Question & Answer session.


  • The session was interactive and well attended by Students and Faculty Members on Thursday, October 26, 2017.


  • Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research (SRBS) is once again Ranked amongst India's Best B-Schools'2017 by Business Today in its October 2017 Special Issue.


  • 6 Students of SRBS & one Faculty Member attended the Thirteenth M.R.Pai Memorial Award function on Monday, August 21' 2017 at 5:30 P.M. at IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry premises, Churchgate, Mumbai. Mr. A.P. Hota, MD & CEO, National Payment Corporation of India, was conferred the award. He spoke about his journey at RBI and the changes that he brought in. He shared his valuable insights with the students.


  • 12 Students and one Faculty Member of our B-school attended The Fourteenth Nani A. Palkhiwala Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 6 PM at Y.B. Chavan Centre Auditorium,Mumbai..The speaker, Mrs. Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman, State Bank of India, dwelt with the topic " How can Bank Mergers Lead to Stakeholder Value Creation'. The session was informative and well received by our students
