The campus life in SRBS seems picture perfect. The essence of this institute is to develop the student’s mind and to bring it to a level where they understand the fundamentals of everything. Fundamentals not just of academics, but also of the various aspects of life. The institute give students the perfect atmosphere to grow, to develop into people first and then as leaders. The incoming students are mentored by Faculty Members for their career enhancement. Every student is allotted with a mentor. There is also a system of Buddy System. in order to have a friendly environment every incoming student is allotted with a buddy who is a senior student of MMS second Year.   

SRBS is furnished with state of art infrastructure & modern technologies. All classrooms and seminar rooms available at the campus are air-conditioned & spacious equipped with facilities like LCD projector, internet access, speakers, etc. to make the learning experience a joyful ride for the students. SRBS library is a repository of textbooks, e-journals, magazines, case studies, project reports on a wide range of subjects. The library is an open-access library and it also has the facility of e-Journals. SRBS library is fully automated with 24 hours internet availability. In addition to print materials, the library offers thousands of books, journals, magazines, videos, cases and newspapers in the electronic format.

SRBS is a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus where the student, faculty members & other staff members can seamlessly use the internet facility without any restrictions. The computer lab has a large number of PCs. Sports are also taken seriously here. The students can use the ground of the institute to play various outdoor sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Tennis etc. SRBS also has an indoor sports facility where students can play Carom and Table Tennis.

SVAGAM – Intercollegiate Cultural and Sports Event

SVAGAM – it is the most important Annual Event at SRBS. It is celebration time for students and a practical application of classroom learning. It develops team spirit, harmony and is talent management at its optimal level. SVAGAM is organized over three days and is an embodiment of fun, sports, competition at intercollegiate level. Students get a break from a busy and exhausting academic environment during this sports and cultural festival. The festival draws students from different colleges who participate to win prizes and awards in sports and cultural activities. The Best Participating College Trophy is awarded to the College with maximum participation with maximum awards.

Induction Program of F. Y. B.Com. (Management Studies)

The student orientation cum induction program for the new inductee batch of FY B.Com. (Management Studies) was organized by SRBS on 23rd July 2024. The purpose of the event was to welcome the new students, familiarize them with the campus, academic programs and student services and foster a sense of community among the incoming batch.

Fresher’s Day

Life is full of new beginnings. In management education, students not only learn hard work, but also learn to enjoy every precious moment of their college life. It is a tradition followed in the B-School where the senior batch organizes a fresher’s party for first year students. This day is full of fun, frolic and celebration hosted for freshers. It helps both batches to understand and mix with each other and create a strong bond for life. Freshers Day serves as a precursor to a harmonious ecosystem.

International Yoga Day

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research, Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Managementand L S Raheja School of Architecture have collectively celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21st June 2024. All participants and staff member were assembled in the Raheja Education Complex – Ground Floor Auditoriumto celebrate “International Yoga Day”at 10.00 am to 11.00 am, so as to ensure that the practice session is conducted in the most conducive manner even for the novice participant.

Teachers Day Celebration

“Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwarah, Guru Saakshaat Para Brahma Tasmai Sri Gurave Namaha !!! ” Students organize Teacher’s Day to respect their teachers and express their gratitude towards them. The tradition at SRBS to celebrate the contribution of teachers in their life continues to grow with every batch. Various activities are planned and students conduct it well.

Independence Day Celebrations

The Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research (SRBS) organized a series of events to commemorate Independence Day, including pre-Independence Day activities such as a tree plantation drive, skit, poster making, pledge and a rally. These events aimed to foster a sense of patriotism, community engagement, and environmental responsibility among students and staff.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the Independence Day celebrations and pre-Independence Day activities were:
• Patriotism: To instill a sense of national pride and historical awareness among participants.
• Community Engagement: To involve students and staff in activities that promote social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
• Environmental Awareness: To raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation through the tree plantation drive.

Navratri Celebration

Life is a celebration at SRBS. The philosophy of the Management is to impart holistic Education. Cultural events and extra-curricular activities are given equal importance in the Institution. All festivals are respected and celebrated, however, Navratri has its very special place in student life. We believe in the premise of combining“ Learning with Fun”. It is the pride of SRBS Students to organize “Garba” during Navratri where they also invite teaching and non-teaching staff along-with representatives of Management. The College Auditorium provides a perfect ambience and it is equipped with best acoustic experience. Fervour coupled with joy of togetherness gives positive vibrations to those who attend. Tradition meets modernity in celebrating the rhythm of life.

Diwali Celebration

The festival of lights is a grand celebration at SRBS and has become bigger with each passing year. It provides an excellent platform to students to showcase their talent in diverse activities and competitions. The more popular ones amonst them are Diya Making, Rangoli Making, Lantern Making, Best Group Selfie and Best Outfit. The Institution is decked up with garlands, lamps and lights. The celebration is in line with the essence of Management Education- froom darkness to light.

Swacch Bharat Abhiyan

The NSS unit of SRBS organizes various activities under Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. Students participate in various activities which include sanitization and cleanliness. It is an interesting way of developing community participation and leadership.

Tree Plantation Campaign

A Tree Plantation Campaign is an organized effort aimed at promoting the planting and nurturing of trees to combat environmental issues such as deforestation, climate change, and loss of biodiversity. By involving communities, educating the public, and fostering partnerships, the campaign aims to create a lasting positive impact on the environment and society. Through collective effort and dedication, we can work towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.

Corporate Visit

To bridge the gap between classroom and the real world, SRBS regularly organizes corporate visits to Reserve Bank of India, SEBI and Bombay Stock Exchange. These visits help students to get first-hand knowledge about the organizational structure and modes of operation in different industries.

National Service Scheme Camp

The NSS unit of our Institution organizes a seven day NSS camp at Suryamal Village Taluka Mokahada District Palghar. The theme of the Camp is “Empowering Villages” with objectives of initiate the interface with the community, rapport building with community members and developing an understanding of the village keeping in view the upliftment of people therein and create awareness among students regarding their responsibilities towards the society.

Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din

SRBS has been celebrating ‘Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din’ every year on 27th February in order to promote and popularize Marathi language amongst all stakeholders. It is the birth anniversary of Gyanpeeth award winner poet late V. V. Shirwadkar. The student council organized events like Marathi Poem Reading, Dance on Ethnic Traditional Marathi Song, Singing Marathi Cultural Song, Marathi traditional Attire competition, games like Marathi Word Translation & Marathi Phrase Completion. Institute also promoted Marathi literature by Promoting Government website “https://sahitya.marathi.gov.in/” having 400+ scanned Marathi books.

Pulse Polio Immunization Program

NSS Unit of SRBS organizes Pulse Polio Immunization program in partnership with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. This is a community engagement programme which encourages studens to contribute toward social cause of vaccination of all children under five years against the poliovirus.

Fit India Program

To encourage students to inculcate physical activity and sports in their everyday lives and daily routine SRBS organize various sports activities like Carom, Chess, Cricket and Table Tennis to promote Fit India Movement
.

Study Tour

To see the practical in the industry, SRBS organizes study tours in different states. Students explore industries from Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. Along with informative learning during the study tour, students also enjoyed sightseeing at famous places in that state.

Republic Day Celebration

The constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system, completing the country’s transaction towards becoming an independent republic. 26 January was chosen as the date for Republic day because it was on this day in 1929 when the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress as opposed to the Dominion status offered by the British Regime.

International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements and women’s equality.

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research celebrated International Women’s Day on March 9, 2024 by conducting workshop session on self-defense. Mr. Mahendre P. Raje, founder and chief instructor of Commando Self Defense was the main guest of the workshop. He along with the team mates put light on various self-defense techniques to our female students.
The self-defense session conducted on International Women’s Day aimed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge to defend themselves in various situations. The session was structured to cover fundamental techniques, situational awareness, and empowerment strategies. The instructor led engaging demonstrations, allowing participants to observe and practice techniques in a controlled environment. Interactive sessions encouraged active participation and facilitated a deeper understanding of self-defense principles. Participants were immersed in realistic role-playing scenarios to simulate potential threats and practice their responses. This hands-on approach enabled participants to apply newly acquired skills in simulated real-life situations.
The self-defense session proved to be informative, engaging, and empowering for all participants. Attendees left the session with a heightened sense of awareness, improved self-confidence, and practical skills to protect themselves if ever faced with a threatening situation. Such sessions play a vital role in promoting personal safety and well-being within the community.

Degree Distribution ceremony

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized the Degree Distribution Ceremony for MMS students pass out batch of 2021 -2023, BMS students, pass out batch of 2020-2023 and BAMMC students, pass out batch of 2020-2023. The event was held at the ground floor auditorium, Raheja Education Complex. Parents were also invited to the ceremony to witness the proud moment.

Alumni Meet 2024

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized an Alumni Meet for it’s passed out batch of MMS, BMS and BAMMC programs at the ground floor auditorium at Raheja Education Complex.
The Alumni Meet aimed to provide a sense of belongingness among the alumni community, reconnecting them with their alma mater, and providing a platform of networking and reminiscing about their academic journey. It also aimed to facilitate interactions between alumni and current students, allowing for the exchange of ideas and experiences.

Master Class

SRBS organizes MasterClass sessions for students on a wide range of subject areas to broaden and deepen knowledge and understanding, providing skills for future learning and employment. The interactive and cohort-style format of MasterClass Sessions allows participants to connect with fellow learners, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. With guidance and feedback from instructors and peers, learners can grow and refine their skills in a supportive environment.

“Svagam, the vibrant college fest held on March 13th and 14th, 2024, was a kaleidoscope of sports, culture, and creativity, attracting participation from various colleges. From thrilling sports competitions to captivating cultural performances, the event showcased the diverse talents of students across various disciplines. The campus was abuzz with excitement, offering an array of food stalls, jewelry stalls and gift stalls, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Moreover, the presence of talented influencers added an extra layer of excitement and glamour to the fest, drawing even more attendees.

However, behind the scenes, the true heroes of Svagam were the dedicated faculty and students whose hard work and perseverance were instrumental in making the event a resounding success. Their meticulous planning, tireless efforts and commitment ensured that every aspect of the fest ran smoothly, from logistics to entertainment. Their collaborative spirit and dedication exemplified the essence of teamwork and community, laying the foundation for an unforgettable experience for all participants. International Day against Drug Abuse

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research has organized an Awareness Campaign on International Day against Drug Abuse in Association with Mumbai Police, Since its inception by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987, the International Day Against Drug Abuse has become a rallying point for governments, organizations, and individuals worldwide to come together in solidarity against the scourge of drug abuse. It provides a platform to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of drug addiction, promote preventive measures, advocate for effective drug policies, and support those affected by drug dependency.

Blood Donation Camp 2024

The Sheila Raheja Foundation organized an initiative of Blood Donation Camp involving all three Institutes, L. S. Raheja School of Architecture (LSR), Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management (SRIHM), and Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research (SRBS). Before the event, interested students and staff members were required to register and meet specific criteria, including a minimum weight of 45 kg and a healthy hemoglobin level, as well as refraining from taking medication during the donation process. Doctors and nursing staff from Tata Hospital checked the fitness of registered students and staff members before allowing them to donate blood or platelets. The guidelines provided to students and staff members were intended to benefit both patients’ and donors’ well-being.
The blood donation camp aimed to collect blood units to support patients in need and raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from student and faculty volunteers and donors, highlighting the Raheja Education community’s commitment to saving lives.
