The BMS and MMS students of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized an event to celebrate HR Professional Day on 26th September 2023.
HR Professional Day is an annual occasion dedicated to honoring the contributions and hard work of Human Resources professionals in various industries. It is a day to acknowledge their vital role in shaping organizations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring that employees are well-supported in the business environment.
The SRBS students of BMS and MMS program prepared a presentation on the important role of Human Resource in an organization. The students also conducted various activities to demonstrate the various facets of HR in the professional environment. Objectives

  • To recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of HR professionals. This recognition helps boost their morale and motivates them to continue their efforts.
  • To emphasize the critical role that HR professionals play in an organization’s success. It serves as an opportunity to educate employees and leadership about the multifaceted responsibilities of HR.
  • To raise awareness about HR within the profession and business at large, particularly since HR is one of the fastest-growing professions.
  • To educate the participants about the important role HR and the work of HR professionals, and highlight their important contributions to the business environment.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students learnt about the roles and responsibilities of HR professionals, gaining a deeper understanding of what HR entails beyond theoretical knowledge.
  • By participating in HR Professional Day activities, students could see how HR concepts and theories are applied in real-world organizational settings, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills.
  • Students got an insight into how to develop or enhance skills relevant to HR, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills through participation in HR Professional Day events.
  • Students gained an understanding into how HR practices contribute to creating positive workplace cultures, employee engagement, and organizational success, helping them appreciate HR’s significance.
