Youth festival or YuvaMahotsav is an inter collegiate Cultural Competition conducted by the University of Mumbai for the colleges affiliated to University of Mumbai. It Dance, Theatre, Music, fine arts and Literary & fine art events among the students.
This competition is being conducted in twelve different zones with elimination rounds and the winners of the Zonal rounds participate in the Final Round. This was the first time when University has given an opportunity for arranging elimination rounds of Literary and Fine Art competitionsto our college.
56th Youth Festival of University of Mumbai “YuvaMohotsav” 2023-2024 for Zone III was held on 12th August 2023 and 23rdAugust 2023at Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research (SRBS).This year was special because the Elimination rounds of – literary and Fine Art events were hosted by our college. The program began with an Inaugural function, with special presence of the Zonal Coordinator,ShriDadaraoMhaske sir, Co-coordinator Mr. AlokHardikar, our Director,Dr. Harish Kumar SPurohit sir.
It was an enthusiastic activity; all the volunteers were followings the duties allocated to them &the entire college campus was used to conduct 15different events in a disciplined manner. The college performed all the tasks allotted very rigorously, beginning with registration, arrangements of the individual venues and other logistics, hospitality of guests and all the Judges.Zonal coordinator and the guests appreciated the meticulous efforts of the college in managing an event.
Out Institute won THREE Prizes and qualified for finals, in Cartooning competition-college has secured – 1st prize,in Skit (C) – 2nd Prize and in Swarvadya competition – 3rd prize. Hindi Skit “App ka Jin” won 3rd prize at University of Mumbai Finals, which added anotherfeather on a hat. University of Mumbai felicitated our Institute for organizing the Youth festival in the presence Vice- Chancellor of University of Mumbai and Padmashree Shri. Suresh Wadkarji.
