Sheila Raheja School Of Business Management And Research organized an International Marketing Conference themed ‘Marketing for a Better World’. The conference aimed at understanding how modern day marketing practices incorporate sustainable development in their activities and enabling current and future marketing professionals to create a sustainable marketplace for all brands with maximum customers retained at all levels. The conference was inaugurated by lighting of lamp followed by singing of National Anthem and Maharashtra Rajyageet.

To provide an insight to the theme of the conference, Director Dr. H. J. Bhasin spoke on the need of sustainable marketing practices as the need of the hour. This was followed by addressing by speakers from various spheres of the marketing world.

To begin with, we had with us our international speaker Mr. Straford Rodrigues (Head of Media and Marketing Effectiveness, Kantar, Australia) who spoke on the challenges faced by marketers with reference to culture, digital marketing, ecommerce inertia, sustainability, etc. and emphasized on the future of marketing. Mr. Straford connected with us online vis Google meet platform.

Our next speaker, Mr. Erander Singh (Partner Digital Transformation, Persistent Systems, UK) spoke on green marketing and discussed the interrelationship between green marketing and technology with reference to use of cloud computing, robotics, machine learning, block chain, etc. as mechanics towards sustainable development.

Our third speaker for the day, Mr. Swapnil Doijode (Assistant Branding Manager- Marketing, OPPO, India) with relevant examples, interrelated the elements of marketing mix with sustainable development practices. He emphasized on how marketing practices can be enhanced for a better tomorrow.

Our last speaker, Mr. Ritam Kanungo (Sr. Manager, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, India) spoke on the key factors that lead us towards a better tomorrow. He also emphasized on sustainability and climate concerns, health and wellbeing, and on the future of marketing.
