MMS/MBA Program Eligibility

Post Graduate Degree Management (MBA/MMS) (2 Years duration)
(A) First Year Admission:-
1. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
The candidate:-
  • Should be a citizen of India;
  • Should have passed minimum three year Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least fifty percent (50%) marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least forty-five percent (45%) marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically weaker section and Persons With Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
  • Should have obtained non zero score in MAH- MBA/MMS-CET 2025 conducted by the Competent Authority.
2. All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates:-
  • Should be a citizen of India;
  • Should have passed minimum three year Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least fifty percent (50%) marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least forty-five percent (45%) marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons With Disability Candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
  • Should have obtained non zero positive score in any one of the following examinations, namely:-
    CET conducted by the Competent Authority or Common Admission Test(CAT) conducted by Indian Institute of Management or Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) Conducted by National Testing Agency or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) conducted by Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur or Entrance Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools or Management Aptitude Test (MAT) Conducted by All India Management Association or Graduate Management Aptitude Test(GMAT) Conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council, United States of America.
3. Non Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates:-
  • The candidate should have passed minimum three year Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least fifty percent (50%) marks in aggregate or its equivalent;
  • Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

Ph. D. (Management Studies) Program Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed/cleared UGC-NET, JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/GATE/INSPIRE/M.PHIL/PET conducted by University of Mumbai in respective subject (as per the University Circular No. Exam/Thesis/Univ./VCD/947 of 2018 dated 15th June 2018 and additional Circular No. Th./ICD/2019-20/3900 dated 26th December, 2019) are eligible to apply. Also, guidelines revised, if any, by UGC and University of Mumbai will be applicable from time to time.

B.Com. (Management Studies) Course Eligibility

Note: Any addition / deletion will be in accordance with the directives of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai, State CET Cell and Admissions Regulatory Authority (A.R.A.).

B. Com. (Management Studies) Program Eligibility

“A candidate for being eligible for admission to the BMS, Degree Course shall have passed HSC Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma course in any Engineering Branches with two years or three years after SSC conducted by the Board of Technical Examination or its equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% for general category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination and 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt).”

No college shall conduct any entrance test in any form and the admissions are purely based on merit duly following the reservation policy as per the norms of Government of Maharashtra.

While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th Standard level. The stream wise weightage to be given is as under:

Stream Commerce Arts Science Diploma in Engineering and Other
Percentage 45% 25% 25% 5%

Merit List Generation: The applications are to be accepted and processed by the colleges stream wise separately and the merit list is to be displayed stream wise taking into account the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra.

The merit list is to be prepared and displayed stream wise.

In case if no applications are received under the “Diploma in Engineering and Other Category” or if the seats remain vacant in “Diploma in Engineering and other Category” after all the merit lists / forms are exhausted, the vacant seats must be transferred to Commerce Stream.

In case if no application is received from any stream the vacant seats are to be distributed equally between the remaining two streams only.

After the first merit list is displayed, if any seat allotted to one stream remains vacant, the same shall be distributed equally between the remaining two streams. In case of vacancy in one stream is of single/odd number of seats, the single seat is to be allotted to the Commerce Stream. In case if no applications are available from the two stream, then all the vacant seats two streams must be transferred to the third stream.
