Library
SRBS has a spacious state-of-the-art air-conditioned library measuring 120 sq. meters, located on the third floor of the campus. The library is functional from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all working days. The Institute’s collection includes textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, CDs, newspapers, and student projects. The arrangement of the books is as per the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system of Library Science.

SRBS has a rich collection of over 8800 books, over 11000 e-books, 12 national journals, 7 international journals and over 10000 e-journals. The library also holds a collection of students’ projects which provide a great opportunity to the students to showcase their work and learn from their peers and senior batch mates.

SRBS provides a “Book Bank Facility” for the Scheduled Caste (SC) students introduced by the Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra which allows them to borrow books for the entire semester.  The students who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) should contact the library personnel to avail the book bank facility.

E-Resources:

SRBS understands the importance of providing e-resources to the students, research scholars and faculty members because of their inherent capabilities for searching academic journals, research papers, scholarly journals, abstracts, e-books and other resources while providing quick access to such information.

Our Asst. Librarian – Mrs. Mukta Naik provides training by inviting the designated training personnel of the e-resource providers, as well as by herself, to all students and faculty members on the utilisation of these wide range of e-resources that our Library offers.

JGate Plus:

J-Gate Plus is an electronic gateway to global e–journal literature

by Informatics India Limited providing seamless access to millions of journal articles.

SRBS library has a subscription to J-Gate Plus database that enables everyone in SRBS campus to access over 10,000 national & international e-journals.

EBSCOhost:

SRBS subscribes to EBSCOhost e-book collection that provides a wide selection of more than 11000 high-quality e-books from top global publishers and presses.

National Digital Library of India (NDLI):

SRBS is a member of National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and provides e-access to the students and faculty members. NDLI is a virtual repository of learning resources. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT).

Pearson e-books:

SRBS subscribes to e-books offered by Pearson India Educational Services. The Instiutute offers access to 66 titles related to management subjects enabling all our students and faculty members to download and access these highly sought-after business management books anywhere in the campus or outside, and on any device, be it a computer or a mobile phone.

SLIM 21 Library Management Software:

To automate the processes of our library, SRBS has instituted SLIM – 21(System for Library Information & Management) Web – OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). SLIM21 helps to catalogue books, articles, and reports. Students and faculty members can access our library catalogue and check the availability of books when on campus or from the comfort of their homes.

CheckForPlag:

SRBS library has subscribed to CheckForPlag, a unique “Make in India” anti-plagiarism software launched by Infokart India Pvt. Ltd. to curb plagiarism globally, for checking the research papers and projects of faculty members and students.

Swayam:

Swayam is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to achieve the three cardinal principles of the Education Policy viz., access, equity and quality. SRBS encourages the students and faculty members to pursue courses on Swayam. Personal computers are provided in the library by the Institute for the faculty members and students to access Swayam portal, NPTEL courses and MOOCs. Courses delivered through Swayam are available free of cost to the learners, however learners wanting a Swayam certificate should register for the final proctored exams that come at a fee and attend the exam in-person at designated centres on specified dates.
