Master Class session on Business Canvas Model - Leveraging Tableau for Career Success

The workshop, ‘Leveraging Tableau for Career Success’, held on 5th April 2025, was anchored by Ms. Leena Dadlani, Assistant Vice President at Barclays Bank UK PLC. The session aimed to introduce students to Tableau as a powerful tool for data visualization and business analytics. The objectives included teaching students how to connect, clean and prepare data from various sources, create interactive dashboards and communicate data-driven stories effectively. Key topics covered included data connectivity and cleaning, data visualization, storytelling, visual analytics techniques and dashboard creation. By the end of the workshop, students gained practical skills in Tableau that would boost their employability and support their future careers in analytics and related fields.

IIC Event Celebrating International Women's Day

The session titled ‘For All Women & Girls: Rights, Equality, and Empowerment’, held on 8th March 2025, celebrated International Women’s Day under the theme #AccelerateAction, with three inspiring guest speakers—Major Priyanka Gupta, Ms. Monica Bharan, and Ms. Deepali Jadhav—addressing 133 students in an engaging offline session. The event aimed to raise awareness about gender equality, inspire students through personal journeys of the speakers and highlight the importance of preparing for inclusive workplaces. The speakers emphasized themes like lifelong learning, resilience, health, empowerment, and leadership, aligned with the UN focus on accelerating progress toward equality. The session encouraged students to appreciate women’s contributions across sectors, understand future-readiness strategies and shape their own professional identities with purpose and passion.

On 5th December 2024, SRBS, in association with LSRSoA and SRIHM, hosted a Master Class by globally acclaimed business turnaround leader and author, Mr. Jason Kothari, on the theme ‘Problem-Solution Fit and Product-Market Fit’. Attended by 245 students and 14 faculty members at the Raheja Education Complex Auditorium, the session aimed to impart strategic insights, inspire resilience, and share leadership lessons relevant to both entrepreneurial and corporate contexts. In the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries, Mr. Kothari shared his entrepreneurial journey, key traits of successful leaders, and strategies for overcoming business challenges, offering practical lessons in innovation, adaptability, and strategic thinking. The interactive Q & A enriched the experience, and the event concluded with his felicitation and a vote of thanks, leaving participants motivated and better equipped to apply turnaround strategies in their own personal and professional growth.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized a Master Class on 20th August 2024 titled ‘Angel Investment / VC Funding Opportunities for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs’ delivered by Mr. Dinesh L. Bhatia, a seasoned Chartered Accountant with 9 years of extensive experience in financial sector. Mr. Bhatia’s presentation focused on the fundamental aspects of securing venture capital, including identifying the right investors, crafting compelling pitches and understanding the due diligence process. He also shared insights into the current VC landscape, highlighting emerging trends and sectors that are attracting significant investment. Mr. Bhatia’s real-world examples and actionable advice were particularly valuable, offering students a roadmap to navigate the complexities of VC Funding.

The session featured CA Deepti Thakker, Director at PwC India and founder of Ardhavi, who shared her entrepreneurial journey in promoting Indian handicrafts and handlooms. She inspired students by discussing innovation, the challenges of starting a venture and strategies to overcome them. The session motivated participants to embrace creative thinking, take calculated risks and understand the importance of leadership and vision in building successful businesses.

Vice President, Future Generali Ltd., an expert on Sales and Business Development with 24+ years of experience in varied industries. Drawing from his vast industry experience, he shared real-world insights using examples from brands like Apple and Cadbury, helping students understand the critical role of sales in business success, customer engagement, and brand building, while inspiring them to view sales as a strategic and rewarding career path.

He introduced students to the Lean Startup methodology, highlighting its efficiency in developing businesses and products through rapid experimentation and customer feedback. Emphasizing the importance of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within this framework, he cited real-world examples like WhatsApp and Dropbox. The session helped students understand how to apply lean principles, make data-driven decisions and integrate agile practices for effective project and resource management encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

On 27th January 2025, SRBS, in collaboration with L. S. Raheja School of Architecture (LSRSoA) and Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Management (SRIHM), hosted the Olympian and entrepreneur Mr. Imtiaz Anees for a powerful Master Class on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design. Sharing inspiring stories from his life and sports career, Mr. Anees emphasized perseverance, mentorship, and goal-setting, encouraging students to embrace challenges and learn from failures. His engaging narrative and interactive Q&A session left a lasting impact, motivating attendees to pursue their ambitions with discipline, resilience and vision.
