The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) had launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystems in education institutions.

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research (SRBS), understanding the importance of fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among its students and faculty members in order to support the grand vision of India that aims to create HEIs centres of innovations and to make research, innovation and entrepreneurship the key drivers of India’s transformation to Viksit Bharat by 2047, established an IIC in the IIC calendar
year 2021-22.

SRBS promotes an ecosystem for innovation by providing opportunities and helping students implement them via a holistic approach while emphasising the importance of intellectual property, providing infrastructure for incubation, and facilitating the seamless transfer of knowledge and technology. This ecosystem is a testament to SRBS’s dedication to the overall development of the students and their future and to promoting an entrepreneurial culture among students.

IIC is committed to strive for the economic, social and environmental progress of the country by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among its students, who in turn will excel through ethical behavior, professionalism, uncompromised quality and innovation.

Mission

To develop an institutional system for harnessing the talents and ideas of aspiring student entrepreneurs and converting them into innovative business plans and strategies.

Objectives
  • Inculcate the spirit of Entrepreneurship among the students.
  • Foster a culture of Creative thinking, Innovation and Entrepreneurship among students.
  • Create an Entrepreneurial ecosystem in the institute to motivate students for taking up Entrepreneurship as a preferable alternative career option to job placement.
  • Giving Entrepreneurship insight to the students through activities.
  • Providing infrastructure and support to students to facilitate the early stage of running a startup.
